The British Agricultural History Society is pleased to announce that you can now join the Society online, and pay via PayPal. Membership, at £20 per annum for UK members, £30 for European members, and £40 for the rest of the world (reflecting differences in postage charges), represents great value: you receive two issues of the international journal, Agricultural History Review (in addition to online access to all issues), and two issues of our magazine, Rural History Today. You are also welcome to create an entry for yourself in our online directory of Work in Progress on rural and agrarian history, which is proving to be an important nexus of information exchange.
The Society is also pleased to tell you that you can enrol for our conferences online: the Winter Conference, on Occupations, Work and Gender in Rural Britain, from the Fourteenth to the Twentieth Century, is coming up on 5 December, at the Institute of Historical Research in London. It costs £30, including lunch, or £15 without lunch. The conferences are open to all, members and non-members.
